Saw the sunrise today because we left at 5AM. This picture from gettyimages doesn’t do it justice. It was sooo pretty reflecting over the lake. Mmm.. God is good.

home sweet...school?

So my last post was pretty depressing, but I think I was just bitter because my stomach hurt and I didn’t get to hang out with anyone my last day of break. Haha! (Sorry Kendall, I know I promised :[ Whatever you do— just don’t listen to Blue October!!!)

But anyway, the thing about my mom is that she always gets mad at me for getting sick, but in the end she always takes care of me. :] And me being the angsty kid I am, always blogs about it right after she gets mad, but never blogs about it later when she takes care of me. :X But here is a shoutout to my mommy for worrying about me/nursing me back to health. My appetite is slowly (veryyyy slowly) getting back to normal, and it’s good to be back in La Jolla! :) We (actually.. basically just my brother) drove back here and once we got to San Diego area, it was all sunny and nice, and not windy, rainy, and painful like back home. The funny thing is, though, I called my mom and she said that the weather in Fremont was fine and she thinks that the wind died down and the weather got better cause we left. -__________- gg.

Oh well. Maybe I am a SoCal kid at heart.

…Or maybe my body is just weak and I can no longer live anywhere else. -_-

School starts again tomorrow! Woo…. Week 10! And then finals and then Kyrie Ski Trip and then Christmas and New Years!! :D:D:D

Went to Mass today and I couldn’t believe it— it’s already Advent! Time flies. :P

I basically didn’t want to leave a depressing/sad/mad post as the most recent entry so here is a happy, looking-to-the-future post! :D

getting sick.

I hate getting sick because I hate how my mom yells at me for being sick. It’s part of what makes me dislike coming home for the holidays too because NorCal is so effing cold. My room is like an icebox and the rain&wind outside work wonders on my frail body. It makes me somewhat jealous to read entries about how much people love being back because of the crisp air and the cold weather because personally, I hate it :/. La Jolla may be pretty foggy and cold sometimes, but at least it’s warm inside our house..without the need of a heater.

Maybe I just need better winter clothes… but still :[ I miss being warm.

My tummy hurts.

Words Women Use and What They Really Mean:

Fine - This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use “fine” to describe how a woman looks - this will cause you to have one of those arguments.
Five Minutes - This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the rubbish, so it’s an even trade.
Nothing - This means “something”, and you should be on your toes. “Nothing” is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. “Nothing” usually signifies an argument that will last “Five Minutes” and end with “Fine”.
Go Ahead - At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.
Go Ahead (With Raised Eyebrows) - This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over “Nothing” and will end with the word “Fine”.
Go Ahead (Neutral Expression) - This means “I give up” or “do what you want because I don’t care” You will get a “Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead” in just a few minutes, followed by “Nothing” and “Fine” and she will talk to you in about “Five Minutes” when she cools off.
Loud Sigh - This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A “Loud Sigh” means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over “Nothing”.
Soft Sigh - Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. “Soft Sighs” mean that she is content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe, and she will stay content.
That’s Okay - This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. “That’s Okay” means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. “That’s Okay” is often used with the word “Fine” and in conjunction with a “Raised Eyebrow”.
Please Do - This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn’t get a “That’s Okay”.
Thanks - A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say you’re welcome.
Thanks A Lot - This is much different from “Thanks.” A woman will say, “Thanks A Lot” when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the “Loud Sigh.” Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the “Loud Sigh,” as she will only tell you “Nothing”. absolutely loved this concert :) ♥ click for amazing quality!

hello, tumblr! hello, november!

Haven’t blogged in a while, but that’s cause lately when I feel like blogging, I just write in my physical journal instead. Lots of stuff has been happening lately though! I should jot some things down just as a keepsake.

November 7- Holy Spirit Conference! Amaaazing experience. Maybe I didn’t fall down and cry during Healing Prayer or whatever, but the entire experience and the talks were just soooo great. Saw Paul JiSung Kim for the first time ever. :O Still awestruck by his amazing talent and fervor for Christ. I still think it’s pretty funny how me and Peter have watched videos of him since like 7-8 years ago. His 2000 performance in Kollaboration and then for some reason I was watching a video a couple years after about the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and Catholic Underground, and recognized his voice and beatboxing in the video! HAHA. So strange!! Anyway, he is such an inspiration!! The conference was funny too because I think I was pretty much the ONLY non-Korean there besides the lady who was the guest speaker. Ahah. The couple of instances of Korglish and Korean puns made me wonder if that actually happens a lot back home with Chinese. I guess I wouldn’t really pay attention unless I invited a non-Chinese friend over and had to translate for them.  Anyway, LESSON from Fr. Eugene (the Joe Kim priest-twin!): Just keep being “chakhae!” Haha! (:

November 8th, the boy took me to my first Gabe Bondoc concert- Luminance. It was so crazy because it wasn’t just Gabe Bondoc, but there was AJ Rafael, Lydia Paek, Victor Kim, JR Aquino, Andrew Garcia, etc.!! It was like everyone was there except Passion! Bummer he wasn’t there! ): Haha. But  yes.. me being the extreme YouTube addict I am, I was pretty much in euphoria the entire concert (whereas the boy pretty much only heard of AJ and Gabe, HAha.) But Gabe’s Gentlemen Don’t was pretty much… oh.my.g…. ♥ Except these 3 girls in the row behind us felt INCLINED to ruin it by singing along and trying to add pathetic attempts at little runs and stuff, probably hoping to catch Gabe’s attention and get an invite to join the YouTube singer posse. HAHA. Not gonna lie though—it was super annoying because no one else but them was singing. We just wanted to listen to HIM!!! And it was the last song too .. . bleh. (Although I was secretly singing along in my head, haha. But still, I want to listen to HIM, not 3 girl voices stuck in their fake, thin falsetto!!!) Anyway—enough hate. Great concert!!! :] I’m happy. He sang Stronger Than too ♥ Yayayyay.

School-wise, I’m doing pretty well. I’m proud. :] I have two midterms left on Friday, but hopefully I’ll be able to do well. I’m pretty confident about my grades in those classes, but I hope it doesn’t get to my head. Especially because I’m actually not really sure what’s going on in Math 20F anymore.. haha! I did well on my ECON midterms though! (100A & 120A) so I’m pretty happy with myself :). PRAYING before midterms helps!! For serious!! It really calms the nerves and helps me focus and remember Who I’m taking my tests for. I feel like it also helps me because I feel that no matter if I do well or not, my grades will pass away over time, but He will always be there, so there’s no need to worry so much :P I still remember how Pat(or was it Cathy?) told us to pray before exams back in Post-Confirmation Class. And another thing they said was that we should also remember to thank Him afterwards. That’s something I still have to constantly remind myself to do too—because it’s easy to ask Him for help in times of need, but always not so easy to remember to say thanks afterwards!! X_X

Kyrie has been pleasantly surprising me every week now. I feel so rejuvenated after the General Body meetings now—can’t really explain how great of a feeling it is. Martin and I always talk about how the Freshmen really never cease to amaze us because they’re already so dedicated and willing to give up their time to learn more about God so early in the year. The fact that they come out on their own and with open hearts… sigh (: makes me smilee. It’s truly a blessing to be able to offer them a place for spiritual growth and to also personally be a part of it! (: HEEHEE. Plus, our t-shirts are going to be CRAZY SICK!! CAN’T WAIT!! Kyrious?!!?!!?! Kyrie-packed weekend this weekend too!  With Inter-Kyrie volleyball tournament and Thanksgiving Dinner. Can’t wait to see what great ideas the Kyrie guys are “cookin’ up” for this Sunday! HAHA. Nice pun, Erica.

Long post (: But just a friendly update! HOHO
